LIZ POWERS: Founder and Director
​​​​​​​

​Liz Powers is a community organizer from the Boston area. She has worked one-on-one with homeless and low-income individuals for the past six years through LIFT. Her goal is to help to empower those in need and respond to gaps in social services in the area. She graduated from Harvard College with honors in 2010. She was honored to receive the Unsung Heroine Award from the Massachusetts Committee on the Status of Women in 2010 for her work founding the LIFT Bike Project and City HeArt (www.cityheartboston.org).

 

ALIZA SIR: Bike Project Coordinator (Roxbury Office)

Aliza is a social justice advocate from Nashville, Tennessee with a BA in history and sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill . Since joining LIFT in July 2013, Aliza has become an avid bike rider – biking to-and-from work throughout the majority of the year – and she is excited to have the opportunity to connect LIFT members to the Bike Program so that they, too, can experience biking through Boston!

MARIA MCCABE: Bike Project Coordinator (Cambridge-Somerville Office)

Maria has been involved with LIFT since January 2012, when she started as a volunteer advocate in the Roxbury office. After hearing about the bike project for several years, she is excited to get more involved with connecting community members to bikes as a means of transportation and exercise. She is from Massachusetts, and is a graduate of Northeastern University. 

 

 

 

 

NIKKI LAUTURE: LIFT Bike Project Intern (Summer 2014)

​

Nikki is a recent Syracuse Univeristy graduate with a BS in communications and a Boston native. After attending a LIFT event Nikki wanted to become more involved with LIFT. The Bike Project was a great way for Nikki to put her passion for helping people and event planning to good use. She is very excited to help others earn bikes through the giveaway! 

 

TAYLOR DUNLEAVY:  LIFT Bike Project Summer Fellow (Summer 2013)

 

Taylor is a student at Lesley University and has been working with LIFT since January 2013. She is a candidate for an Expressive Art Therapy bachelor degree, with a minor in social work and psychology. She became interested in the Bike Project as a summer fellow, having had some experience with it during her spring internship. Taylor is extremely passionate about helping people in her community, and she believes that activism is the only way to change the inequality and disparity faced by low-income individuals. She is excited to help clients reach their goal of having reliable transportation, and using their bikes to reach further goals of stability and wellness.

BRIDGETTE LEMOINE: LIFT Bike Project Summer Fellow (Summer 2013)

 

Bridgette is a student at Wellesley College and plans to graduate with a degree in Economics and Philosophy in May of 2015. She hopes that through her work with the LIFT Bike Project, she may help to encourage community building efforts in the Greater Boston area, and provide individuals with the resources they need to expand their opportunity.

JESSIE DUDA: Head of Publicity 



​Jessie Duda is a current student at Tufts University, majoring in international relations, with a concentration in finance. She is also minoring in economics and studying Russian and Spanish. She began working with low-income individuals in early high school, tutoring disadvantaged children in a nearby city. As she saw a need in this area, her interest continued to grow.  She has been involved with LIFT since the beginning of college.

​SAM KRONISH: LIFT Bike Project Fellow​

 

​Sam Kronish is a soon-to-be graduate of Tufts University, where he majored in clinical psychology and English. He was drawn to LIFT Bike Project because of a lifelong love of biking, and a desire to help his clients get groceries more efficiently while staying healthy. He currently rides a Green Novara.

​
